How to Use the Resin Layer Time Calculator
To use the calculator, simply enter your current slow layer time, current regular layer time, current layer height, and the new layer height you want to use. Then click "Calculate" to get your adjusted layer times instantly.
Understanding the Layer Exposure Formula
The calculator uses the following formula to calculate the adjusted exposure times:
Adjusted Exposure Time = Current Exposure Time - (((1 - (New Layer Height / Current Layer Height)) / 2) * Current Exposure Time)
This formula is used for both the slow layer time and the regular layer time. It calculates the proportional change in layer height, halves this proportion, and subtracts it from the current exposure time to get the adjusted exposure time.
This calculation is based on the assumption that the exposure time is roughly proportional to the layer height. So, if you're decreasing the layer height, you'll need less exposure time, and vice versa.
